With Memorial Day on the horizon, I hope everyone in Newspaperland can crawl into a retro moment with me. If you will, read this article slowly. That isn't slow enough. Go and get some old black and white pictures of your Great Grandparents gaze at them and start over. This was the beginning of your FREEDOM people. Get into the turbulent waters with the prisoner of war, William Beanes. Can you hear the bombs? Are you scared? You do know that you can die any second, right? You will never see your loved ones again and they may never know what happened to you. But you must keep praying, you must have faith in God, maybe just maybe...come morning, the flag will be there. Say a little prayer now before you continue....come morning....prayer may be taken from our homes as it has been our public lives. Please God, come morning...let prayer still be there.

Shelia, It's a really good lesson in history. I wonder where all our anonymous posters and impostors are? I guess it's above their reading level.
