i totally agree... me can't even discipline our own with out them getting involved... they need to concentrate on the ones that really being abused and neglected and let us live our lives... my heart goes out to this family as well... could it just be a simple fact that it might have been natural causes... but just cause he is two they are looking into it... if it is that much of a concern shouldn't the investigators be looking into it not DFCS... if foul play is determined then DFCS should get involved... last time i checked DFCS was not law enforcement

I suppose here in the south, we still operate on the idea that if it did not work for me then it must not work for anyone. Lets just forget the thousands of children they help each year by removing them from abusive situations and focus on the few times DFCS got it wrong. And if we hold everyone up to that standard, be prepared to be judged for the rest of your life by your worst mistakes instead of your successes.

I BEG YOUR PARDON! If DFACS takes your child and then is able to adopt him out because of lies and fabrications about you... That county office gets an average of 6,000.00 per head~! Where does that money go? That's just it it goes to the office and what the director does with it is her business.. therefore, if you are the investigator who has gotten my county office an extra 3 kids this year by lying in court then no one will know if I give you a damn crystal bowl, buy you some gas or give you a check. Some of the money is spent to pay professional grant writers who write grants that are presented to the GOV for more money to open up new Service Facilities so they can charge the parent to take more classes that their friends and family probably TEACH or OWN THE BUILDING IT'S TAUGHT IN!!! NOW suppose the judge who overlooked the Failure to Provide reunification services before removal is looking to get reelected this year... Do you suppose you couldn't throw her a few freakin hundred or thousand to make sure she overlooks it next time too? YOU Stupid People are the reason that parents lose their kids into the system in the blink of an eye NEVER TO SEE THEM AGAIN!It can happen just that fast, without sometimes even proper notice of the hearing,without an attorney present and based on Lies that are breathed into a hotline by someone who has vowed to GET YOU or by a grandmother who thinks she is better at being a mommy than the mother is.. They call the child is in the system and then they might decide that GRANNY is not fit either so the child disappears.. No visitation, no phone calls no family placement! FOSTER CARE... NOBODY'S FIT!(or at least they don't look fit to US!)More Children die in foster care than children who live with their birth families! Also there are studies that infants brians are more affected by removal from their parents than if they had been left in even a mildly abusive home! BRAINS!!! BRAINS DEFECTS DON'T GO AWAY! Also 92% of the CRACK BABIES from the 90's only suffer from the stigma of being termed A CRACK BABY and not the result of parental drug use during pregnancy! WHICH I DO NOT CONDONE I AM JUST SAYING! YOU HAVE NO IDEA!! There are over 800,000 internet sites about the government kidnapping these children and adopting them out never to be seen again based on lies! Do you think all of these people just put these websites up to have something to do? Do you think that? Do you know that when a judge of the juvenile court decides to take your child and not give it to the grandparent who worked for the county all of her life because she is UNFIT even though she is wealthy, able and ready, that judge then has ABSOLUTE JUDICIAL IMMUNITY FROM ANYTHING YOU DO TO GET THE CHILD BACK WITH FAMILY? I've heard lawyers lie to the parents and say there is nothing we can do or file when OH YES THERE IS but you only have 30 days, dang we missed it I'm sorry, just do the caseplan and maybe you'll get the child back, by the time the caseplan is complete if they ever admit that it is, the child is already in a foster home for a year who wishes to adopt him and he is STABLE NOW WE CAN'T MOVE HIM HE'S BONDED WITH THEM NOW we will have to terminate your rights!

DFACS changed their minds and wanted my daughters 2 stepsons BACK with their abusive mother and her boyfriend after they had let the boys live with my daughter and her husband (their father) for about a year.(while waiting for custody hearing)
DFACS was VERY abusive to my daughter and her husband when tehy changed their minds.
That is, until a JUDGE was good enough to see thru them and their corruption.
All we could come up with on why all this happened, was that DFACS was scared that the mothers boyfriend, who is black, would sue them if they kept him away from the boys, BECAUSE he is black, not because he BEAT ON THEM.
Not sure if that is fact, but can't think of any other reason that DFACS WANTED these children to RETURN to an ABUSIVE environment AFTER they had already TAKEN THEM OUT...

DFCS staff does not have the authority or power to go "mess with people" just because they want to. There are LAWS that mandate them to do it and Judges that order them to do it, School personnel that continuously call them until they feel obligated Law Enforcment that ask them to, RELATIVES that call and so on. If you don't like DFACS procedures, contact your legislature and ask them to change Mandated Reporter laws and deprivation laws that mandate someone to respond to child abuse reports. CHild death cases are a mandatory DFCS response by the way, it in no way means there was any negligence by the parent

I agree. It's bad enough that the mother and the family has to deal with the death of a child and on top of that all of this talk and judging when we really don't know what happpened. I will continue to pray for this family!

Wow I didn't know anything about Nancy Shaefer. THe comments under the video state the media was trying to keep this quiet and state it was murder/suicide. Wow.
I have 1st hand experience as well on how corrupt DFACS is.
