A rapper known as Yung Hott was shot and killed while making a music video in Griffin Saturday.

Four others, including a five-year-old girl, were hit by gunfire.

How come other people that get hurt or killed dont have all their criminal history posted? Welcome to Pike! There was not a need for that....and as for when will the rap go away....it wont! Its the best genre right now and makes the most money! The sad part is that EVEN some law officials are afraid of Rappers. Evidently, in Griffin last week, a deputy was in front of me...a loud rapping song was playing loud enough to rattle my doors. The deputy looked at me...then looked at him, looked back at me and shook his head in disgust. Then let him go torture more people.

Anyone see Larry King Live Friday? Some rapper on verge of come-back after another stint in prison was the guest. T.I. What a nice looking, intelligent and artciulate young man. Too sad. Seems so many think it's their only legitimate opportunity. (or is it another attempt to make it to the end of easy street?) I was impressed he didn't play the victim card and admitted that it's all about the street gang, thug, materialistic culture. Me, me, me. You can feel the hostile energy of that 'music'. I hate it for this young man's family's loss. I hope the future bring more dialogue about the message and purpose of rap. Maybe young people will wake up and not be suckered into it.

Any body see the news coverage showing the CD cover to go along with this song? A crime scene, Griffin police car in the background, dead body in the middle and across the yellow tape reads the title "Yung Hott Killin Em". Sad that he portrayed this senseless lifestyle and influencing others along the way. Young people wake up and don't follow this poor example.

This is the plain and simple of it all. This "rapper" was in a not so nice part of town, shooting a "music" video with children around that Im sure was all about the guns, drugs, and violence that got him shot to begin with. 4 people, criminals, hit men, whatever you want to call them pulled up into a neighborhood, where a "music" video was being filmed and proceeded to "bust a cap" in this poor fellows a$$. I dont think he was shot because he wasnt wearing Griffins school colors. I dont think he was shot because he said something about somebodys momma. My guess, and heres my disclaimer ( all opinions are soley mine and do not reflect the opinion of anyone else ;) ), is that he screwed someone out of money, drugs, a woman, or something really dumb. This is not a black/white issue. This is an ignorance issue. As for the person who said something about the criminal background and their criminal history, it only sheds light into the lives of those who do get murdered. This was not some high school graduate who had a bachelors degree and was sitting behind his desk at a 40 hr a week job. This was another thug, making a "music" video in the ghetto when his rivals shot him. Im sorry for the familys loss. Truly I am but watch the news. Look at the neighborhood.

He was a person just like you and I and now he is gone. Can you just pray for the family and leave the negativety at home. I agree that they do not put other criminals history on here that actually killed people and committ crimes. It is what it is in this article. A black rapper with a criminal history promoting hard core negative rap lyrics about "killin em". Sorry if that offends, but the CD cover picture for this song ended up being his own fate. Its sad and a tragedy for the family and I hope they will take this senseless act and use it as an opportunity to take a stand against violence, instead of cranking up his song in the streets and having girls dancing to bad lyrics as a memorial to his fate/song - which is what was seen on the news. Someone in that group/family needs to step up for the sake of the innocent little girl that was shot in the foot while playing.

JC..You are too funny!!!! It is hard for me to believe all of these bleeding hearts for a THUG!!! He needed a real job and maybe he wouldn't be six feet under. Did ya'll know that the hospital in Griffin was locked down that night for fear that people were coming to get revenge. My friend took her child to the ER and was locked in there until 230 am. Then the security guard told her that it was probably not safe to walk to her car. She asked him if he would walk her to her car and was told that he would watch her walk to her car. Isn't that ashame!!!!
