Come on people....someone has to hate this guy! He is not from here and and no one probably has ever laid eyes on him, but live up to your reputation Pike County and complain about this new hire.
I guess if you whine & belly ache enough the government will do anything to shut up the citizens. Sounds like a bunch of Obamacrats we "want, want, want give me! give me!
He was fired. They found questionable X-rated sites on his county laptop computer and calls to pay-as-you-enjoy 900 numbers on his county cell. Think he moved back to New York City.
His close friend and code enforcement officer still has her laptop computer. Do just department heads and county executives have take home laptop computers? David Allen has no clue, everything to David is "generic." Hey David, can you find a copy of that official letter?
I wonder sometimes how we, as the wonderful community that we are, can believe that it is more important to have fireworks go off than take all of that $ and take out the meth makers, dealers and users. I mean give me a break! If it did come down to the taxpayers moneys, then I would have to go without the fireworks. Sorry
It's much more than Fireworks, It's a coming together of the Community. A time to be with Friends Old and New. A time to celebrate the past and see hope in the future. It's the biggest Community event We have and we nearly lost it because of crabby old people like you.
JC, you address yourself as a Patriot. What have you done for your country? As the Pollcat administrator who deletes and bans those who disagree with your views does not make you the Hero Patriot. The taxpayers just threw you $1,000 for your Patriot fireworks so enjoy yourself. Get you a free hotdog for that one.
The fireworks will not be on Sunday, that is JC biscuit day. In honor of this great patriot JC Morrison, the day will be named JC FIREWORKS DAY. You taxpayers just paid a $1,000 toward it so enjoy it.
Where is the rest of the $9000 coming from? Just because the County threw in $1000, we still need more. What did you all do before they started having the fireworks display??
Patriot John C. Morrison that was uncalled for. You are no Paul Revere, you are not the leader nor saviour of our county. Go wrap yourself in a flag and sing yankee doodle dandy, I'll send you some sparklers but get FC Hendersons permission to lite them.
Fireworks on Sunday? No way, God will strike you dead while all the bible thumpers wail. Even though the 4th of July is on a Sunday it can not be celebrated only observed. And don't even think of having it on a Thursday night. We can be patriotic, support our troops or come together as a community on any day but Sunday.

Thank you John Hoover. Sunday would completely change the routine of the Biscuit Man, I am not a multitasker. I might even start attending services and sitting on a pew rather than eating my chocolate syrup biscuit and shooting the breeze.
It would appear that profits from the sales of ladies handbags, crockpots, jerseys, perfume, tennis shoes and flags made in China on the Pollcat would be donated to the Patriot Fireworks Show. Do it for our county.
Parrish Swift and Roosevelt Willis did you say $85,400 for a county manager then give him a year to decide to move to Pike County? Is this your last hooray at dunking on the citizens of Pike? What is wrong with the county clerk and no county manager???
Do you guys know we are out of money and frills????????????????????????????
The flyer says pie throwing at Parrish Swift on the courthouse square. My question is can we bring our own pies? I would be happy to donate more money if this would be allowed.
Pike Patriot Homeowner JC Morrison announced enough money collected from his bake sale that taxpayer money will not be needed. Wonderful news Patriot. Be sure and get a receipt when you take the $1,000 back to the BOC.
This is wonderful news for our county. Let's hope everyone remembers Patriot JC Morrison did not do it all alone. There were a lot of hot kitchens for the baked goodies. Should be a group picture returning the $1,000 to the county.
