The latest from the folks at the Muslim American Society:

Muslim American Society Freedom's Thurgood Marshal Immigrant Justice Project condemns the signing of Arizona Senate State Bill 1070 into law by Governor Jan Brewer. The measure allows law enforcement agencies to detain anybody "if there is reason to suspect they are illegal immigrants," and requires legal immigrants to carry paperwork proving their status at all times.

Yeah, how about dragging two dead American service pilots through the streets then burning the bodies. Thank God I too live in America, we will be strong again as soon as Obama is booted out of office. Obama is not even qualified to be a tribal leader in his home country of Kenya.

Immigration has nothing to do with religion. As we all know, American is founded on many freedoms, that of religion being one basic tenet. You can openly practice you religion here without fear of persecution. Islam is no different.

Immigration law is about keeping unwanted persons out of our country. Why is it so hard to understand that we deserve to have those who want to become part of our society are suitable? The process keeps out criminals and those undesirable for many reasons. Legal immigration is something that makes our country great. People everywhere dream of coming here, some to stay.

Illegal immigrants should be put on a train, buses, horses, planes, goats, limos..whatever it takes and taken back home. If you do not like it, go with them. I am sure you will be granted as much respect as they have TAKEN here. You will probably be given a choice as to which way you want to be killed. You may even have 3 hours notice. Americans have American rights. Illegal immigrants are NOT AMERICANS. The Americans who have hired them need to serve jail time. I hope Arizona gives the DESERT SHERIFF more tents and loads them up with ILLEGALS. Bring your Bible verses and sweet thoughts on. I wish they could all be dumped on The White House lawn for a period of time before going to the desert. oBAMA's next move will be to grant amnesty again. It did not work before and it will not work now. We should just ANNEX Mexico so they will be required to pay minimum wage then they can all run BACK across the border. They want to keep the families together. So, that is easy , take all of your family with you. Illegal immigrants suck and The United States is their free teat.

These "tax sucking ticks" need to be processed like people boarding a plane without a ticket. If you are not an American by birth or the naturalization process. Go home. Take your baby ticks with you. You are not threatened by your country and you are not welcomed by ours. The Military can handle this problem. They are no different than a person sneaking into YOUR house, eating your food and refusing to leave They came illegally into OUR country. And they need to get OUT OF IT!

It looks like old Jimmy "I am almost as sorry as obama" Carter could have given Manhattan back while he was giving away The Panama Canal. I hope every states' legislature passes the same law that Arizona has passed except tougher.

So we agree that this country has many hypocrits (mosty concentrated below the Mason-Dixon line) and we should all ship ourselves back to Europe, Africa or wherever we came from and leave the Indians alone.
I believe Georgia was a penal colony..bunch of criminals and prisoners..and you guys are decendents...lol.

Who is the NUT that states, "I am afraid the passing of the law in Arizona will cause a violation of civil rights." If you are not an American, you do not have any U.S.rights. Civil or otherwise. Change the law in America so that our Military can guard the border into Mexico.
With some elections coming up, it will be real interesting to watch the politicians try to "straddle the fence." They have tippy toed through the tulips so much, they must be really worried to see the big majority of CITIZENS wants our country back. Our U.S. forces have defended freedom from the jungles of Vietnam to the sands of Afghanistan. Bring them home and let them draw the line in the sand right here in the United States of America. Cook your own tacos. It AIN'T hard.

No. I think all Americans originally came in ships. Some by choice, and very sadly and inhumane as it was, some were delivered in chains and brought by force. Others were born here, some have gone through the legal naturalization process, others touched their feet on American soil after floating in from the ocean. Some are here on legal visas. Some are even here because they defected from their own country so that they would not be killed. The rest, my dear, have broken into our "Country" and are robbing us blind with past and current help of our Government. They are being assisted by "greedy" Americans who pay them slave wages to entice them over borders. They come bearing gifts of drugs, guns and murder. They are taking over our country with your PERMISSION and the permission of anyone else who does not stand and vote against them. The people who hire them are no better than traitors and they should be processed as such. Any more questions, Mr. (name ends in ez). Your own president does not even want you. He is telling you not to go to Arizona for fear of your safety. We have ambitious criminals that will come and buy your drugs and bring them back to us. You're very, very wrong Ms. Tolley with your statement, "If you are not an American, you do not have any U.S.rights. Civil or otherwise." The 14th Amendment gives equal protection to all persons within the jurisdiction of the United States Government. Someone from Mongolia has the same exact rights as your or me. For example, if police officers beat a person who is not a U. S. citizen, they have still violated his or her civil rights and will be prosecuted as such.

I'm for immigration reform, but it has to be done legally and within the limits set forth by the U. S. Constitution. It is a good document that serves us well. The U. S. courts will decide which part(s) apply to Arizona's law.

The tensions finally spilled over this month with passage of the nation's toughest law against illegal immigration, a measure that has put Arizona at the center of the heated debate over how to deal with the millions of people who sneak into the U.S. every year. Get off my case, jerk. Who or what are you? I never said anything about blacks, white, jews, or legalized immigrants. If they are illegal they are illegal. My taxes feed the prisoners in the United States. You can set up a little "Mexican Meals on Wheels" and feed all the others, Pedro. I am sure Mr. or Mrs. What from comment 9.2 will politely correct me if I am wrong in my next sentence. But, if I heard correctly, immigration papers should be on a person at all times. So what is the big deal, if an official ask to see them? When a State Patrolman ask to see your driving license do you have a problem with it? You do not if you have them.

The question of illegal immigration has been boiling for many years. But if the federal government wanted to level the playing field, it should mirror the immigration laws of Mexico. To emigrate to Mexico one must speak the language (Spanish), one must already have employment (not gardening or construction laborer), one must bring with him a minimum amount of money, and most important, one must have a sponsor who will vouch for him when he arrives. Now how much you wanna bet if the good ol' U S of A adopted these and other rules everyone would be speaking English and not be running from the migra

Actually, these laws are already on the books in the U.S. The problem being that they are for legal immigration. Anyone wishing to emigrate to the U.S. must meet certain conditions, be it for a work visa, a student visa, etc. But if someone decides to climb over the fence or walk across the river into the U.S. he is considered illegal, and therefor a lawbreaker and then subject to U.S. law, i.e. immediate deportaion upon apprehension. Apparently all the bleeding hearts are concerned with is that these illegals rights are being usurped. I say the hell with em. If you break the law you are subject to arrest and must pay the consequences.
