The Pirates baseball team won their third consecutive region championship Tuesday April 20. The Pirates defeated the Callaway Cavaliers 7-2 to clinch the championship. They are 20-4 overall and 15-0 in region play.

Congratulations if I remember correctly when the season started and a article was posted here there was some posters really harsh on the coach etc well look Regions Champs. Congratulations and Good Luck in the Playoffs!!

Fairly New...get used to reading critical things from the "been here for 100 years crowd" They think they know how to do everything better...If you moved from somewhere else you are scum. Because this place was such a utopia before "outsiders" starting moving here.

Congratulations, but so what!! Weakest region in the state by far in everything. Maybe you can make it out of the 1st round this year.

Way to go Pike. Keep on winning. You can win it all if just put your heart and soul into it.

Good job by the kids, several unanswered questions going in to the playoffs. Pitching being the biggest. Loosing record against good teams this year and some positions exposed. One positive note, we don't play Westminster the first round!

congrats to the players, some with major attitudes and egos. all in all the players did this, not the head coach. pike has always had talent, but no one to guide them, and it shows when they need it the most.

well get yourself a 4 year college degree, go to work for the schools and do it yourself if you can do it better.

Great players without leadership will not be succesful, great leaders without talented players will also fail. It takes a unique combination and a trusting relationship to make a succesful team of any kind.

Give both the boys and the coach credit where credit is due.
