Mindi Renae Bishop pleaded guilty to one count of felony sexual battery involving an underage male in Upson County superior court Friday morning.

Upson Co is part of the same Judicial Circuit as Pike Co so if you want to speed up your hearing you can ask your attorney to get you into the next available courtroom hearing within any county that's in the same Judicial Circuit, same judges same district attorney over all counties in this Judicial Circuit
I think this circuit is Pike, Upson, Spalding, and Fayette.

hey this is mindi's son. cody. maybe yal remember me. im the eldest? the one whose best friend got my whole family in this mess? STOP TALKING ABOUT MY FAMILY!!!!!!! you may think your only ruining my mother,but your ruining my siblings and me too.we didnt do anything. my brother robbie doesnt barely have a clue whats going on. he very confused. my sister.i dont know what happened to her mind after all this happened but i feel i have to watch her all the time. oh and by the way. you think that C***** was victimized? you want to know what happened at school the day my mom went to jail? he was bragging to everyonethat he had done cody sebaughs mom and he had only been friends with cody sebaugh so he could do her. really? you were dedicated to be my best friend for a year just so you could do that? no. he had a reason that he stayed over all the time. he hated his home he hated his parents he hated everything. he slept in my bed with me every night. he cried sometimes. he would say he wished that he was my brother and that he could live with us.but he stabbed me in the back. my family payed for him to go to play baseball. i gave him clothes. a place to sleep when he was scared to be home for some odd reason. and as for pike county students? the day my mom went to jail they tore me to pieces. i had found out that a certain someone was spreading the news about my mom, so i tried to fight him,but only got a few hits in and we split so we wouldnt get caught. the rest of the day people came up to me with claimed to be videos of my mom and people would push me call me a bitch. all because my mom was in jail.

citizens of pike county. you should really put a leash on your children.they were completly brutal to me. i dont know what they said to my siblings but im sure they got the same.

i want to say that i had a few friends that stood by me when all this happened. i hope all of them have a little specialplace in heaven. i love them and i want them to know im thankful.i wnt to thank the teachers that stood by me also. especially mrs. bywaters. thank you alot. well. i gotta go to school now and i feel alot better now that ive expressed the truth.

I'm so sorry all of this has happened. The three of you (4 with Val) deserved better. Your mother is a good person, who's lost her own fight with inner demons & she should have been stronger. I've checked on you in different ways over the years, and your comments only prove to me what I've suspected- you've grown into someone any man would be proud to call "son".

I have nothing to say about the wrongness she's done, and no desire to excuse it. I just remember the family that was.. and mourn it. I'm sure you kids have the strength to put things right in your life; just keep swinging.

Just because she was offered a plea deal doesn't mean she definately did anything. Don't you people think if they had hard evidence it would've gone to jury trial and she would've done some time. And you could be charge with that if you hugged someone who didnt welcome it.

#8.1- that is called "accepting the terms" of the deal she was offered. People accused of a crime, who are not guilty often accept terms to either speed up the process and get it over with or avoid jury trail. doesn't necessarily mean anything as to the facts or evidence available because that part wasn't heard.

You think the family of the murdered teenage boy Attorney Fry killed agreed to his plea? And what about the man who molested me from the age of 4...we didn't agree when he got a plea deal and was not made aware of it until after the fact. Aahhh, My dear Terry P. That is the beauty of my right to protect my privacy. And I know part of why she accepted to plea was so her kids were not drug into a jury trial where people's opinions have been tanted about this case because of the media. Clearly yours has and you don't have anymore fact's to go on than what was printed as accusations. I know her, and the deal the best way for her to keep her kids protected out of it. I wish people would think- just because it was printed in black and white does not mean its fact.

People don't get arrested without a warrant, and they don't get convicted without some level of guilt. If there is an error, our system errors on the guilty going free. I trust the judicial system, and I've had my experience within it as well. I don't have any knowledge about this case, my comments are in general terms.

Let me make sure I understand what you mean. Are you suggesting this person had absolutely no inappropriate contact with the minor child, however accepted a plea deal because she didn't want any embarrasment on her family?

No one would take i plea for any sexual charges that was not guilty. You will have to register as a sex offender the rest of your life. That is not just i few years. They can not be around children other that there own, can not live near churches, school or anywhere children gather. If they were not guilty they would fight it . The young man involved was days shy of being 16. The last time I had sex it took two. (unless your home alone and.... well you know what I mean.) Anyway, there are many teens, male and female having sex these days and it will continue regardless of age. A 16 year old is not a little boy or a child. The difference is a 16 year old learning and growing with another 16 year old (not a 16 year old being coached or enticed by an adult). That is a major factor, to me anyway. It is very difficult for me to hold a 16 year old responsible for the event(s). The fact is, it doesn't matter what you or I think, what matters here is the law. If you break the law, even if it is consensual, you still have to pay the price.

Are you people so perfect that you can live in a glass house and not worry about the stones that you throw.. Maybe if everyone would leave this to the families and the court no one's life will be ruined. When I was 15 the boys in school didn't need teaching because there was always some older girl willing to lay down with them. Or better yet some younger experienced girl about 13...I think some one got jealous and decided to make an example of this sweet girl. She has been thru enuff losing her husband and being as pretty and friendly as she is folks get mean and jealous. Go stand in front of a mirror and take a real good look at yourselves and if you are perfect then cast the first stone. If she was 15 and he was her age they could just get married and no one would care. I did at 16 to a 21 year old and he didn't sexually batter me, that I knew of..and my parents didn't press charges they loved us both and still do.

I have known Mindi for many years, she was with my boys when they were that age and guess what, she never molested them. I would leave her in charge of my grandsons for months if I ever needed someone and I know they would be safe. I pray to God I never have to enter or live in Pike County. You people are very envious of beauty and personality. Mindi is not guilty of being jealous and vindictive or cruel, she is a God fearing, loving person who would help any of you who have put the trash on this blog that has come from your hearts and minds. It always amazes me that people tend to think it's not such a bad thing when a woman is convicted of molesting a boy. If the sexes of the perpetrator and the victim were reversed, so that it was a thirty-something, year-old man who molested a 15 year old girl, would you be running to his defense? I doubt it.

I don't know her. I never met her, so I'm not "jealous of her beauty or her charming personality"- don't need to be. Fact is, Mindi Bishop is a self-professed, convicted sexual offender. She engaged in perverted acts with a minor, and is a danger to society.

If you would knowingly allow your children or grandchildren to stay with such an individual, you are an unfit parent. Period.

The fact here Molly Brown is that it is a whole different world...children "picking" for the sick is an on going thing and easy today due to the internet etc..As far a Mindi..she lead so many, including me, to believe she was this sweet caring women, mother & wife...She is a lie, lived a lie, I cared for her...her secret life has made a difference in the lives of so many. Yes she is beautiful even if some of her "stuff" was store bought :) I always loved being around her..but this shows you what a web one can spin to get what they want..Pretty or not she was wrong wrong wrong. I have a question for you, do dislike her because she is so pretty or because she was confident enough to improve on what she had by having surgery? I do not know her personally but everytime I went to the tag office she had a friendly smile on her face and when my husband died she really took the time to show me sympathy, because she understood what I was going through. Maybe everyone is so mad because they can't even get a man to look at them. The really pretty girls always catch it from the ugly ones. Don't haten us just because we are beautiful.
She messed up but who can show us an open closet without any skeletons dancing inside. Maybe the attention was nice after being alone for awhile and the only one s she came in contact with were her kids friends. Be kind to her because you haven't lived her life nor walked in her shoes.

You don't know the whole story, the fact's, or have evidence other than what you've heard, read, or talked about with a "christain" friend or neighbor. If you're so concerned about how her kids will heal quit talking about it. Because all the talk is what hurts them the most. As a Christian, I'm not sure how I should feel about that. Saving the feelings of one kid versus getting the word out so another kid won't be harmed in a similar way... No, I think I'm going with erroring on the side of speaking against it. Sorry, I think I just made up my mind. Y'up, I'm against this kind of behavior and I think everyone should talk about it. Maybe it won't happen too often if we all decide it is unacceptable. I could still be wrong, but the Spirit is telling me to continue to speak against it; I'm compelled to. We can pray, though, for her kids and husband; and that she has repentance and forgiveness. She'll have a long and tough road ahead, as well as she should. It is difficult to bare the sins of your loved ones, but that is what families do. It's a teachable moment for her kids, too.

Sin has it's consequences, no one is exempt. It was an honorable attempt to make it Christ Like for everyone to be quiet. Sometimes, though, you have to stand up and be heard. To simply drop this and move on, business as usual, would be a terrible disservice to Christian minded folk everywhere. If more people don't stand up and be heard, there won't be any Christian values left.

I believe that was meant for the body of believers; written to the Church at Ephesus. The way we have to communicate within the body of believers is a little different than the way we are to work with the 'others'. I've heard Dr. Ed Cliburn preach about this before, but it's been a while back. I'll be glad to try and explain it a little more if you want; I'll even see if Dr. Cliburn has some input.

I harbor no bitterness, anger, wrath or otherwise - neither with believers or non-believers. As far as forgiveness, surely I have forgiven all those who have offended me; like I said, I harbor no ill will toward any other person.

As far as being led by the Spirit, that comes from my Father, not my pastor. He hasn't let me down yet, I think I'll stick with Him. I don't need to talk to the preacher about that, at least not because you think so.

I do enjoy a good argument, and I sure wouldn't want to kick anyone when they're down. But, I will not ignore sin or pretend everything is "OK" whe we all know its not OK. I am not kicking anyone, I'm simply talking about the action for which she was charged and pled guilty. Being quiet may be your idea of a good Christian, that doesn't make it biblical. I could start quoting scripture, too, but we both know wrong is wrong and whether or not I speak about it will not make it more or less wrong. Sometimes believers have to agree to disagree and move on - contoversial issues are indeed biblical. Judging my character as controversial is also biblical. But, I still am not mad-I'm sure you mean well. The simple fact that you're still responding is why this particular crime is so "top of mind". It happens everyday in some capacity and it needs to be stopped. It could have affect me or my family had she not been stopped. Indeed, it's a teachable moment, for all of us.

Your comments about this person were 100% correct and nothing about anything you said was unbiblical or against scripture.

If this woman did what she was accused of- and she did acknowledge it by pleaing guilty- then she is a sexual preditor and she needs to be locked up with the rest of them.

Bottom line, the embarrasment and humiliation her family and children are facing are the result of HER actions- not because you or anyone else discusses what she did. If she was concerned about that, the time to take that into consideration would have been BEFORE she engaged in sexual contact with a minor.

There's an old adage which is paraphrased from a Bible verse which says that the sins of the father (mother) are visited on the children. This is a very sad example where innocent people are made to suffer as a result of the actions of others.

You would be so surprised at what this kind of thing does to kids, like I have said before.. go to the drug/alcohol treatment centers and see how many had "unlawful" sex with an adult. That 15 year old boy was in NO WAY traumatized or violated by having sex with Mindi Bishop. I can assure you he was a very willing parnter and has probably bragged about it every day since it happened and probably put a knotch in his headboard. Because I have had two 15 year. Old boys. I'm not excusing the fact of the "crime" happened. I'm sure all involved are paying a very HEFTY price what the decisions that these two made.
