Robotic arms dance a carefully computer choreographed ballet inside the massive Kia plant that has sprung from a 2200-acre site on a former cow pasture in West Point, Georgia. The plant is 2.2 million square feet and currently spits out 400 Sorento CUVs a day.
Kia employs 1200 people now and that will double soon. Some 43,000 people applied for those first 1200 jobs. An additional 31,000 have applied for 1200 more on the second shift.
