How will Obamacare affect us?

After a year of heated debate, a health care bill commonly called Obamacare has been signed into law. The sweeping health care reform and reconciliation bills were passed by the Senate, House of Representatives and signed by the President last week.

The bills require every American to have insurance or face a penalty, extends Medicaid coverage to around 32 million people, keeps companies from denying coverage to people with pre-existing medical conditions and requires more businesses to offer employee benefits. Proponents of the bill say it'll reduce the federal deficit by $143 billion over 10 years.

Health care reform will increase the cost of insurance and reduce the wages of working America.

Most people will choose to pay the fine rather than pay 10x that for insurance and will only get insurance when they have a serious problem.

People who can't afford insurance or the fine will be exempted from the law and we will continue to pay for them just as we do now only the cost will be higher.

Politicians will continue to have their free health care paid for by the citizens but not accessible by the same citizens who pay for it.

America will continue to wane until it winks out of existance.

I have a few words for you to ponder:

Social Security - Going Bankrupt
Medicare - Going Bankrupt
Medicaid - Going Bankrupt
Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae - bailed out but was headed for bankruptcy
US Mail - Going Bankrupt
VA (health care) - facilities are run down and care is substandard (this was reported by your "news" organizations not fox)

Canada's "Free" health care system - long lines, people with money come to the US for care

Englands "Free" health care system - having to ration treatment, long waits, again people with money come here

All this you can verify for yourself just so you won't be believing one side over the other.

Now tell me, why would you want the US government who has failed at so many things to be in charge of your health care?

Just wanted to point out to the rest of the anonymous crowd that here is another example of one of your group who when presented with an argument that they can't respond to intelligently they resort to name calling.

Then of course if I attack him back by resorting to name calling, the rest of you will attack me for attacking him/her. Noone will say a word about this person calling me a hick.

But hey, I can respond with integrity and using my own name.

King Hussein is a constitutional lawyer who has done more harm to the constitution than any president in history. So even though he is impressive to the anonymous, in truth, he isn't even good at his own profession.

I know people who have gone bankrupt and people keep saying these entities are going bankrupt. They have been going bankrupt for a long time. And David you are the only King I know in the U.S. But your Facebook pic makes you look more like the Una Bomber.

Thanks Pauper and the various anonymous responses for proving my point that when you are anonymous you are unable to think and articulate.

All you can do is come up with cute, cowardly statements that have nothing to do with what is being discussed.

So we are closing schools, laying off teachers while we are hiring 16,000 IRS agents to force people to buy health insurance....What is wrong with this picture?
