Bridge closed on Caldwell Bridge Road
The Georgia Department of Transportation has deemed the bridge over Birch Creek on Caldwell Bridge Road in need of repair and it will be closed until further notice. The bridge must undergo structural repairs before it is re-opened.
Caldwell Bridge Road, outside of Concord, runs over Birch Creek and connects Concord Road and Strickland Road.
According to a press release from county clerk Teresa Watson, Caldwell Bridge Road will have the proper detour and directional signs in place for drivers.

I hope the signs actually get placed. West Road didn't have a single sign notifying drivers the road was closed. You had to go halfway down it to get to the closure from either side. It's been fixed and reopened now.
